INVITES ONLINE APPLICATIONS FROM UNMARRIED MALE CANDIDATES FOR ENROLMENT AS SAILORS FOR ARTIFICER APPRENTICE & SENIOR SECONDARY RECRUITS FEB-2020 BATCH COURSE
ELIGIBITY CONDITIONS - 1. online applications are invited from unmarried male candidates (who fulfill eligibility conditions as laid down by the Government of India) for enrolment as sailors for AA & SSR for 500&2200 vacancy respectively in the feb 2020 batch.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION -(a) AA Qualified in 10+2 examination with 60% or more marks in aggregate with math & physics and atlest one of these subjects .Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science from the Boards of school Education reconigised by MHRD,Govt of India .
SSR Qualified in 10+2 examination with maths & physics and atleast one of these subjects -Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science from the Boards of school Education reconignised by MHRD Govt of India.
3.AGE - Candidates should be born between 01 feb 2000 to 31 Jan 2003(ins both date )
4.PAY & Allowances - (a) During the entire intial training period a stipend of Rs.14600/-per month will be admissible .On successful completion of intial Training,they will be placed in level 3 of the Defence pay matrix (Rs.21700-Rs69,100) in addition ,they will be paid MSP @ Rs.5200/per month plus DA(as per applicable) plus 'X' Group pay (only for artificer Apprentice (AA) @ Rs.6200 per month plus DA (as per applicable)
5. PROMOTION-promotion prospects exit of the rank of Master Chief PettyOfficer-I i.e.Level-8 of the Defence Pay Matrix (Rs.47,600-Rs.1,51,600) plus MSP @ 5200/-per month plus DA (as per applicable) Oppertunities for promotion to commissioned officer also exist for those who perform well and quality the prescribed examinations.
6.PERQISITES -(A) During the entire period of training and thereafter,sailor are given books,regarding materials,uniforms,food& accomodation as per entitlement ,(B) Sailor are entitled to medical treatment ,Leave, Travel conecessions for self and dependents,Group Housing Benefits and others privileges,sailor are also entitled to Annual and Causal Leave,children Education and House Rent Allowance .Post retirement benefits include pension ,gratuity Leave encashment .All perqisites are extended as per service conditions and their eligibility admissiblility is regulated as per govenment order in force amended from time to time
7.Insurance Cover ,insurance cover (on contribution) of RS 50lakh for sailor is applicable .
SELECTION CRITERIA
AA-selection of recruits is based on the all india order of merit on their performance in Computer Examination ,subject to qualifying physical fitness Test and fitness In Medical Examinations .SSR of recruits is bassed on state wise merit of their performance in computer based Examination.subject to qualifying Physical fitness Test & Fitness in Medical Examinations.
COMPUTER EXAMINATION
(a) One common examination will be conducted for AA And SSR entries.(b) The question paper will be computer-bassed with a total of 100 questions ,each carrying 01 mark (c) The questions paper will be biligual (Hindi-English) and objective type (multiple choice) (d) The questions papaer will comprise of four sections i.e English,Sciene,MAthmatics And General Knowledge.(e) The standard of the question papaer will be that of 10+2 Syllabus & sample paper for examination are avilable on website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in.(f) Duration Of examination will be one hour (g) The candidate are required pass in all sections and in aggregate (h) Penalty for wrong answer.Candidate should note that there will be penalty (Nagative Marking) for wrong answers to every question paper .There are four alternatives for the answer to every question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate ,one fourth (0.25) will be deducated as penalty.
10 PHYSICAL FITNESS TEST-(A) Qualifying in Physical fitness is mandatory for selection.(B) PFT will consist of 1.6KM run to be completed in 7 minutes ,20squat ups,and 10push ups.Candidate undergoing PFT will be do so at their own risk

11.MEDICAL STANDARDS-(A) Medical Examination will be Conduted by authorised Military doctors as per medical standard prescribed in current regulations applicable to sailors on entry (B) Minimum Height -157 cms.Weight and Chest should be proportinate .Minimum Chest expansion of a 5 Cms.Details regarding minimum height standard for entry into the indian Navy as sailors,Including applicable relaxations,can be accessed from the official recruitment Website.

13.Tattoos-Permanet Boddy Tattoos are not permitted on inner face of forearms ,i.e.from inside of elbow to the wrist and on reversed side of palm /back side of hand .Permanet Body tattoos on any other part of the body isnot acceptebale and candidate will be barred from recruitment
14.TRAINING - The training for the course will commence in Feb 2020,with 09 weeks for AA and 22weeks for SSR basic Training at INS Chilika Followed by professional Training in the allotted trade in various Naval Training Establishments.Branch/trade will be allocated as per the requirment of Service
15.Discharge as Unsuitable -sailors are liable to be discharged as "Unsuitable" Due to unsatisfactory Performance at any time during the training.Saiolrs are also liable to be discharge at any stage of training if their documents are found to be falsified at the stage of recruitment
